Ellis Faas E105 & E107
Renowned makeup artist Ellis Faas makes some of the most considered makeup out there. Her brand concept focuses on portability and universally flattering shades of makeup:
From the tawny peach of a freckle to the pure, vivid red that pulses through our veins, the ELLIS FAAS Human Colours collection looks to the human palette for inspiration. The colours that exist naturally in our bodies are complex and rich, but they’re also universal, shared by each and every one of us. Based on this universal spectrum, ELLIS FAAS Human Colours complement all skin tones, and when it comes to looking one’s best, what better way to highlight a great feature or mask an imperfection than with tones and hues that already exist in each of us?
With the exception of compact powder and bottled foundation, all of the makeup in this line is packaged in sleek pen applicators. These fit perfectly into the portable Ellis Holder, which is designed to organize all your makeup in your purse:
Another thing I love about this makeup line is its amazing website. It has swatches of every product in every shade. I wish every brand did this! Each product page also has pairing recommendations, so even if you don’t want to buy those particular products, you can create the look with similar things you already own.
Ellis Faas offers two liquid formulas for the eyes: Creamy Eyes and Lights. Creamy Eyes remind me of MAC Paint Pots because they work well as a base and on their own. Lights have a creaseless, metallic finish. Both are long-wearing once they set, but you have some time to blend while they dry down.
E105 and E107 are Creamy Eyes textures. Both are wearable taupes. I usually need to wear an eye primer with any eyeshadow, but Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes last through the day without one. E105 is a warm deep taupe with a lot of red in it. E107 is a neutral mid-tone taupe. In the photo below, I’m wearing E107 all over the lid and E105 on the upper and lower lash line.
