I love trying new drugstore brow products, and L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper is pretty great! It has a tiny wand, but I still like to wipe most of the product off before application to avoid smudges.

It works to hold brows in place like a regular tinted brow gel, but its formula also has plumping fibers that make brows appear fuller. The fibers don’t fill in as effectively as brow powder or pencil, but they do help a little. If you like a finished looking brow, you’ll want to use Brow Stylist Plumper in addition to your standard brow products rather than in their place. My brows are fairly full already, so I’ve been using this when I’m not wearing much or any other makeup.

Brow Stylist Plumper is available in three shades: Light to Medium, Medium to Dark, and Transparent. Here’s how Medium to Dark looks on me:

It isn’t noticeable in person, but after looking at the photos, I think there’s some shimmer in the formula. If you’re deciding between Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara and this, it depends what you’re looking for. If you have fuller brows and just need gel to hold your brows in place, try Maybelline’s (read my review here)–it’s an ordinary tinted brow gel. L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper holds brows in place just as well, and also has fibers that work to fill in sparse brows a bit. The Maybelline gel is less pigmented, so it’s a little more user-friendly if that’s a concern for you.

Bottom Line

Assuming you’re not wearing the translucent shade, this tints brows, offers a medium to strong hold, and does some minor volumizing. It’s a great option for low-key brows.
