L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner ($8.95)
Dare to go from everyday to exotic with Voluminous® Smoldering Eyeliner. The secret to its intensity is in the dark kajal formula. Used for centuries by women in India and other Eastern parts of the world, kajal is a richly intense black ingredient that delivers stunning definition. And with Voluminous® Smoldering Eyeliner’s unique conal tip, it glides on effortlessly for a dramatic, captivating eye look.
L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner has a really soft texture so it glides across your lash line and isn’t irritating to apply to your waterline. It has a fine point so it’s easy to draw a super thin line. If you apply a little more pressure or turn the pencil on its side, you’ll get a thicker line. L’Oreal has also included the perfect size sharpener so you don’t need to find and purchase one yourself.
L’Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner is available in black, brown, and gray. I purchased black:
I wanted to love this eyeliner because application is amazing, but it doesn’t wear well. I understand that this isn’t marketed as a long wear product, but I expect all eyeliners to last at least an hour on me without primer. It wears for about an hour on my waterline before it fades and only lasts about half an hour on my upper lash line before fading and smudging over the rest of my eye. The only way I can successfully wear Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner is blended on my lid as a base for eyeshadow.
This eyeliner is really soft and blendable, but unless your eyelids are very dry or you only plan to use it for smudgey looks, I’d skip it.
