According to Neutrogena…
“12 hour, breathable foundation clinically proven to improve skin’s natural tone in 4 weeks.”
- 12 hr makeup instantly erases the look of skin imperfections.
- Clinically proven to make skin tone look more even in just 4 weeks, even without makeup.
- Lightweight, natural looking coverage resists heat & humidity.
Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Liquid Makeup is a new medium to full coverage foundation. I don’t wear foundations consistently enough to thoroughly test the claim that this foundation improves skin tone in four weeks, but it does live up to its long wear claims. I’m able to wear it for a full ten hours before the finish starts to look shiny and I need to touch up.
While I wouldn’t call the finish natural looking, it’s slightly less mask-like than other long wear foundations I’ve used. Even without powder, the formula holds up well when exposed to heat. If you like the coverage and finish of Revlon ColorStay, you’ll like Nourishing Long Wear too. ColorStay makes me breakout, so this is a nice alternative.
Unfortunately, Nourishing Long Wear is available in a very limited range of six shades. I tested #20, the lightest shade, which is too dark for my skin tone. Medium skin tones should have a few options, but light and deeper skin tones are likely to have trouble finding a match. Like many drugstore foundations, this doesn’t come with a pump, which often leads to wasted product.
Hopefully Neutrogena will release more shades because Nourishing Long Wear Liquid Makeup is a good foundation. I don’t think the formula is particularly nourishing, but it lives up to Neutrogena’s long wear claims.
