According to Rimmel…
This specially formulated BB Cream is packed with matte perfecting benefits, resulting in gorgeous and shine free skin! Minimizing the appearance of pores and evening skin tone while controlling shine, the lightweight formula makes it perfect for combination to oily skin, with ideal benefits: soothes, conceals dark circles and even helps prevent blemishes.
I have at least one good thing to say about almost every product I review…but not this one! In my experience, American BB Creams are simply not suited for oily skin types–unfortunately, Rimmel BB Cream Matte isn’t any better.
Rimmel makes quite a few claims about this product (see above) and delivers on almost none. It doesn’t keep my skin matte for very long; I needed to touch up after about an hour and a half. I actually think this gives my skin more of a glowy finish:
This has a lighter, more fluid consistency than many of the thicker BB Creams I’ve tried and is packaged in a 1 oz squeeze tube.
The major, major issue with this product is its tiny shade range. I tried Light, and there’s only one other shade, Medium. Light runs very warm (it’s basically orange) and isn’t actually a very light shade at all. It continues to get darker and more orange as it oxidizes with wear, which really doesn’t suit any skin tone.
Unless your skin is only slightly oily, this won’t stay matte for long. The shade range is extremely limited and runs very orange…skip this BB Cream!
