How I Stopped Biting My Nails
After biting my nails for almost twenty years, I’ve finally kicked the habit! It was one of my beauty resolutions this year and I actually followed through with it! I’ve made a few unsuccessful attempts to quit before, but this time I decided to replace my nail biting addiction with another habit…painting my nails all the time, at least four times a day. Any time I got the urge to bite my nails, I painted on another coat of Nailtiques Nail Protein Formula 2 Plus or clear top coat like Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Fast Dry Top Coat. I’d end up with maybe ten layers of polish before it would get too thick and I’d take it off and start all over again. I kept this routine up for about two months before I started to feel less inclined to bite my nails and eventually I just stopped wanting to bite them altogether. The Nailtiques protein really helped my nails to grow faster, stronger, and thicker–definitely try it if your nails are thin and break easily.
Anyway, I stopped biting in early January and it’s been almost eight months! Hopefully this post has been helpful if you’re trying to stop biting your nails. I know how hard it is!
